Lew Weinstein’s author blog

* about writing

Like most authors, I am continually trying to improve my ability to tell a story that evokes my own and readers’ emotions and intellect. Part of this process involves reading other authors and trying to learn from what they have written, the good and the not-so-good. I have found it useful to organize my thoughts by topics, such as beginnings and endings, characters and settings, etc.

I have chosen to post most many of my observations at this site, and sometimes have received comments from cyber-space either agreeing or not. I’m continuing this process, and invite your input.

A list of the topics I use to organize my comments is found at … * writing topics

A list of the novels and books about writing I have quoted from or made one or more comments about is found at … * novels and books about writing

The comments themselves can be found by clicking a topic on the Category List in the left margin.
